Soccer Tip of the Month - Goalkeeper:
Get Your Body Behind The
Ball
Safety first must always be the
goalkeeper's motto. He is the last line of defense and a mistake by
him is more likely to lead to a goal. The most important rule for a
goalie is to take every opportunity to get his body squarely behind
the ball in saving a shot. Thus, even if the ball slips through his
hand, the body is in line. To avoid a fumble first, he should wrap
his hands around the ball and hug it into his
chest.

The Vipers' U12 team plays in GSYSL in "BU12
Division 1" and are designated
'Merrimack
Vipers_B_U12_PM'.
The Vipers' U13 team plays in GSYSL in
"BU13 Division 3" and are designated
'Merrimack
Vipers_B_U13_LR'.
All home games
are likely to be scheduled at Kollsman, and very unlikely
that any of those games will relocate to the Budweiser
fields. All practices are also planned at Kollsman.

GSYSL's spring season officially kicks-off
April 16th. Practices at Kollsman begin that week
also.
